UDI framework
Health Canada consulted extensively on proposed UDI requirements. Industry feedback focused on alignment with FDA and EU UDI requirements to minimise compliance burden for multi-market manufacturers.
Post-market amendments
Health Canada consulted on proposed amendments to strengthen post-market surveillance and problem reporting requirements for Class III and IV devices.
How to participate
Any person may submit comments on a Canada Gazette, Part I consultation during the comment period (typically 30–75 days). Comments are submitted electronically through the consultation platform. Industry associations (MEDEC, AdvaMed Canada members) often coordinate industry responses.
